Minimesos enables developers to launch a Mesos cluster on their developer machine. This means that developers can create cloud native applications more easily. As well as lowering the cost of experimentation is regards to Mesos, Minimesos also provides an API that allows for easy system testing as well an enabling test-driven development for cloud and distributed applications.
We built the Elasticsearch Mesos framework as part of a wider collaboration with Cisco Cloud. The Elasticsearch framework is, by default, fault tolerant, scalable and performant. It take advantages of Apache Mesos as well as replicating shards across all nodes, thus ensuring high availabilty by default.
As part of our work into analytics and big data, and in relation of course to Elastic, we built the Logstash framework for Apache Mesos. Our framework is deployed to each node in the cluster by default where framework logs, Docker logs and the Mesos logs are automatically aggregated. Like all our frameworks, the Logstash framework is highly available by default and design.
We built the Kibana framework for Mesos. The Kibana framework allows you to view data from across the Mesos cluster.
The Mesos Flocker project adds cloud storage to Mesos. The framework allows for stateful applications with the confidence of using a redundant data store. The framework transparently handles the communication with the cloud provider using Flocker. Mesos Flocker will ensure that your data is always available to your container, even on failover.
We build the ELK framework for Apache Mesos. The ELK framework links Elastic, Logstash and Kibana to provide an out of the box solution for logging and search on a Mesos cluster.
The Terraform provider for cobbler allows for communication between Terraform and Cobbler. The provider enables the provisioning of machines where the available infrastructure does not provide dhcp or pxe-like services itself. This is especially useful for bare-metal server racks.
As part of a collaboration organised by Cisco, we helped to build the Mantl Microservices framework. Mantl is a configurable set of tools that enable hassle free cloud-native application development. It includes a container orchestrator, a network stack, support for logs and search and service discovery. Because it’s cloud agnostic, Mantl has support for Openstack, Bare Metal, Vagrant, GCE and AWS.
With our partners, Implicit-Explicit, we created Software Circus. Software Circus is a conference, described by Luke Marsden as the ‘best conference in the world’. Software Circus is active in multiple cities as a meet up.
